So, we were in a fast food place called 'Wimpy's. My dear professor handed  me a 500 Rupee bill and said  "why don't you go to the counter and order what ever you want to have" I looked at the other girl who I don't know how but always managed to keep this smile on her face; like forever. Seriously, ever since I knew her, she had this exact stereotype smile pasted on her face. Not an inch here or there. Just the same. As I looked at her, and while she was still smiling, I figured that she is JUST going to continue smiling until I speak. So I did what I had to. I asked her for suggestions about what shall we order to eat. S he instead of answering to me, turned her face towards Sir. Following the telepathy sir responded,  "Oh dear smriti! it's you who won. It's your call. you just go "GO" and order what ever you like". I said to myself. "woww I am awsm. such a special treatment" I assume
14 th of February, 1999. Debating and discussing important issues is always interesting. There was this inter-college declamation contest held in one of the renowned colleges of our state. One of my  favorite  professor's in my college suggested participating in that contest. I was his  favorite  student in the class. (at least I thought so) so, I thought maybe that’s why he was insisting me to participate. He also did talk a lot positively about my talking skills and brought up few qualities of mine which indicated that I am good. So be it, I got flattered and convinced by his talk's and entered my name in the contest. The gate/parameter for entering into competition was that it had to be a team of two people.  Contestants were to be judged under two  categories, individual performance and performance as a team. Therefore, I with one more girl (my team mate now) were informed to prepare ourselves. Also, later we were informed about the date of the competition.
It was a typical women’s college in my city. And also it was a real famous one. When I first entered the college, right at the gate there was this old wicked looking creepy lady. Rudeness was all over her. It was a one fine Monday of the week in the year 1998. Getting to see that whining face first thing in the morning was a bummer.  Soon I came to know that her job was to make sure that every girl who enters college positively makes an entry in the register. I guess they wanted to track the tracks of girls. Dress code for that college was only suits ( kurta salwar) I located my wing which was newly built commerce department. I found my class, opened the door and this is what I saw: Girls and all girls and OMG! Everyone was in white  color .  I was like; God how absurd it  appears . All were wearing white suits (salwar kurta) with different wacko hairstyles. Some of them were pretty. Some of them appeared trying hard to be pretty. There were also few rich gals who a
So, It was high school 'Vajra Army School'. It was like suddenly life had filled with excitement. New beginning, new teachers, new crowd. I could totally smell an environment full of new life on a newly discovered planet. Ms. Smriti btw was initially referred as civilian in that school.  Aah yes! I enjoyed it.  School was like big really big. This huge school had collection of wonderful teachers coming from different places of our country. Besides that they were highly educated which obviously teachers are, they were really civilized and had highest degree of sophistication and self discipline.  And this civilized, sophisticated nature/character could be witnessed in their day to day communication and teaching and attitude and behavior and while dealing in situations. Basically, all the time. That’s when I learnt what actually teachers are supposed to be like J I loved each and every single teacher. Mam/Sir all super talented and nice.  We all know ther
